Check to see if the scanner unit lights up or moves at all. When you power on lift the scan lid & see if the scanner warms up. If there is no motion or light it may be a dead scanner or a bad main board. See the posts on the laserjet 3330 scanner failure to see if yours may have a yellowed reflector in between the 2 scan light bulbs causing it to not initialize.
